Books: Show us the longest book you've ever read. (All the way through.)
According to Amazon, Pillars of the Earth is the longest of these three at 976, but The Far Pavilions is only 16 pages shorter. When I read North and South in the fourth grade (right after the mini-series with Patrick Swayze aired) I swear it was over 1000 pages, so I'll include it here just for kicks. According to Amazon, it's only 816 pages. It's got to be the edition I had.
EDIT: As pointed out by a friend, Gone With the Wind is 1024 pages, and I've read that, I just forgot about it being so long ;-)
